Greetings! I`m an estonian rosenborg supporter. I have been folowing the team for nearly 10 years. Lately I do not understand what is happening. I understand swedish so I have been reading a lot of norwegian newspapers. Why have you fired so many "trenere"?
The way I understand it you have now hired the son of the old rosenborg trainer Eggen as "sportsdirektor"? But really? Is this just because he is going to be trainer when Knut gets fired? And then you have hired my old hero Hoftun as an assistant to the sportsdirektor? Why?
From my opinion it is not strange that the team is so poor when the trainer knows that the sportsdirektor is going to get his job, and that the club already has found a new sportsdirektor in Hoftun! What has Knut done wrong, he took Rosenborg to Champions League, but now the club rather want the son of the former trainer instead? Sounds like something that could have happend in USSR!
Finaly I hope that you play with more scandinavian players in the future. The africans Tettey, Kone and Konan are good individually but they do not make a good team out of Rosenborg. I watch rosenborg matches on TV2 web and is suppriesed that so few players are norwegian.
Maybe I sounds negative but that is only because I hope Rosenborg to do as well in Champions League as before! I wish you all good luck on wedensday against Valencia!
Greetings from Läurvaald!

Thanks Läurwaald, and welcome!
It is always nice to see that we have supporters around the world, although I do believe you are the first from Estonia, at least that I have heard of.
As far as my own opinion goes, I think it's pretty clear that Knut Torbjørn Eggen wants to be the head coach, especially as the club hasn't managed to put the former sports director, Rune Bratseth in a position where he doesn't still look, sound and feel like a sports director. Unless the club sees a clear chance at signing Trond Sollied from Gent, Eggen will be RBK's next head coach.
It isn't really about what Knut Tørum has done 'wrong' or not, as the only thing that would give Tørum a reasonable chance of keeping his job, is a league gold. And maybe not even then.
It's more about this club's leadership showing a growing lack of clear and purposeful leadership. This has been demonstrated in how the club has failed to stay true to it's own tenets, failed to keep good coaches who could have keept Rosenborg's standards (if not our winning streak), failed to replace said coaches with a more suitable one and then failed to provide the coaches we did get with adequate players and 'space' to do his job properly. Our leadership has also failed to keep close watch on our competitors and also failed to develop our club's economic potential.
Unfortunately, it also seems that nineteen years of almost continous success has made us too fat and selfcontent and has slowly diminished our club's capacity for dealing with failure.
